It’s my birthday!

I received the first wish from my wife as early as 10pm last night. They (my wife and children) wished me again in the morning. Wishes via SMS, e-mails, and fb started pouring in after that.

I have a mixed feelings during my birthday. It’s good to breath fresh air again after the deadly accident (I was involved in an accident in KM115.5 Jalan Timur Barat (formally) or Mile 8 (as it was known to the locals) just about 200 meters from the Kolam Air Panas. We were dragged off about 30ft down but cheated death. Alhamdulillah…

I found out that (always), there’s nothing special about my birthday (it’s already the 35th anyway!) As it only carries numbers with it. Last year it was sort of passing by unnoticed. I was a bit lucky this as someone managed to ‘capture’ the date (I accidently mentioned it to my officers before signing a call for meetimg memo and it spreaded so fast!).

Anyway, here I am, being scolded and treated without anything much more special on my birthday. My age increase by one year and that’s it. Nobody seems to care much. Life must go on…
